Safety & Expectations

Your Trip, Your Responsibility

Lennam is a booking platform connecting travellers with independent boat operators. We verify captains, enforce capacity limits, and require a safety acknowledgement before every booking. Here is what you need to know.

Licensed Captains

Captains in the Lennam network hold valid Thai maritime licences. Lennam verifies captain credentials before they join the platform.

Life Jackets

Life jackets must be available for all passengers and should be worn whenever required by the captain, local regulations, or conditions. Children and non-swimmers should wear life jackets throughout the journey.

Safety Acknowledgement

Before checkout, each booking requires a passenger safety and life-jacket acknowledgement. This ensures every lead booker understands the risks and responsibilities of marine travel.

Weather Policy

Routes, timings, and landing points may change because of weather, tides, marine restrictions, or safety considerations. If conditions are unsafe, the captain may reschedule or cancel. Lennam will assist with coordination.

Boat Types & Capacity

Each vessel has an approved passenger capacity. Lennam enforces capacity limits per vessel. Capacity and amenities vary by boat type — longtails, speedboats, catamarans, and yachts each have different characteristics.

Departure Points

Trips depart from approved beaches, piers, and marinas across Phuket. Your departure point depends on destination, boat type, and route. Lennam does not provide hotel transfers.

What to Expect on Your Trip

Before departure

Your booking confirmation will include your departure point, meeting instructions, scheduled time, boat details, route information, and important safety guidance. Please review these instructions before travelling to the meeting point.

At the meeting point

Meet your captain at the confirmed beach, pier, or marina. The exact boarding process varies by location, tide, boat type, and sea conditions.

Life-jacket acknowledgement

Before departure, each passenger must complete Lennam's life-jacket and safety acknowledgement. Life jackets must be available for all passengers and should be worn whenever required by the captain, local regulations, or conditions.

During the trip

Routes, timings, swimming stops, and landing points may change because of weather, tides, marine restrictions, safety considerations, or local conditions. Follow the captain's instructions while aboard.

If assistance is needed

Contact Lennam using the support details in your booking. Lennam can communicate with the captain and help coordinate appropriate local assistance. In an immediate emergency, contact the relevant Thai emergency service directly.
