About This Trip
Maiton Island is a snorkeling paradise. Unlike our other destinations, Maiton is a no-landing trip — the island is privately owned and landing is restricted. But the real magic is in the water: vibrant coral reefs, abundant marine life, and frequent dolphin sightings make this one of our most special experiences.
Just 1 hour from Chalong Pier, Maiton sits in deeper water than our other destinations, which means the coral is healthier and the marine life is more diverse. Snorkelers will see hard and soft corals, schools of tropical fish, sea urchins, and if you're lucky, the resident pod of dolphins that often surfaces near the island.
Because there's no beach landing, this trip is all about the water. Your captain will anchor at the best snorkeling spots around the island, and you'll spend your time in the water — swimming, snorkeling, and floating in some of the clearest water in the Andaman Sea.
Maiton is perfect for confident swimmers and snorkeling enthusiasts. If you're traveling with young children or non-swimmers, we recommend Coral Island or the Khai Islands instead, as they offer beach access and shallow water.
Bring your own snorkeling gear if you have it, though your captain can also provide equipment. This is a pure water adventure — no sand, no shops, no crowds. Just you, the reef, and the dolphins.
