About This Trip
Racha Noi is the smaller, southern sibling of Racha Yai — and it's for the adventurous. Uninhabited, remote, and spectacular, Racha Noi offers some of the best snorkeling and diving in the Andaman Sea. There are no restaurants, no beach bars, and no crowds. Just raw, pristine nature.
The journey from Chalong Pier takes 1 hour 45 minutes by twin-engine speedboat, crossing to the far side of Racha Yai. As you approach Racha Noi, the landscape becomes more dramatic — rocky shores, deeper water, and a sense of being truly away from it all. This is the kind of island that reminds you why you came to Thailand.
Racha Noi's underwater world is its main attraction. The currents here are stronger than at Racha Yai, which brings nutrient-rich water and abundant marine life. Snorkelers and divers can see schools of barracuda, reef sharks, manta rays (in season), and some of the healthiest coral in the region.
Because of the stronger currents, Racha Noi is best for experienced snorkelers and confident swimmers. If you're new to snorkeling, we recommend Racha Yai instead. But if you've snorkeled before and want to see something extraordinary, Racha Noi delivers.
There are a few sheltered bays on the leeward side of the island where conditions are calmer. Your captain will choose the best spot based on the day's conditions. This is a full-day trip — bring sunscreen, a hat, and a sense of adventure.
